Senior Sponsorship Sales

Key Responsibilities                      

Primary focus on sales delivery by displaying a thorough understanding of our products and services, and working to a coordinated sales plan to achieve divisional budget targets and strategic objectives

Develop strong relationships with prospective new clients via all possible customer touchpoints including phone, email, linked-in, networking events and meetings etc

Prepare sales propositions, generate business cases and plan sales approach

Leading sales pitches with both international and domestic clients to understand objectives, build relationships and secure revenue for the business - A small amount of international travel required

Continually developing relevant sales prospect lists by using macro and micro market trends, sound product knowledge and deep understanding of brand marketing to strategically identify relevant clients, industries and geographies

Briefing our Sales Insight and Servicing team to prepare sales presentations using consumer insights, media value reporting, and additional proprietary methodologies to help build compelling business cases

Provide weekly and regular updates at team sales meetings showcasing activity and pipeline development, business closed and share any insight for potential collaboration with other Sales Team members

Liase with key Sports rights holders where required to secure property, product or price information, as well as ensuring our Sport’s interests are represent and protected appropriately

To be competent with club-specific sales management systems (CRM) and follow any other relevant internal reporting procedures

Liase with international territories and subsidiary agencies to understand rights portfolio, availability, pricing, and other relevant data to support sales process 

Support the Sales Manager, Sales Director, Leadership Team and other employees from time to time on various projects

Following successful completion of a sales process, work with internal corporate functions such as legal and finance to create robust commercial agreements

Ensure strong after-sales relationship management where necessary to enhance renewal probability, and identify cross-sales/upselling potential

 

Essential Experience:    

Tenacious Sponsorship Salesperson

5+ years understanding, and experience of sports sponsorship is essential

Proven sales track record in sports event sponsorship with key relationships and high-level clients

Analytical/strategic ability to identify multiple value chains potential sponsors may be able to bring

Strong professional network within the sports sponsorship industry

International sales experience is a plus

Excellent inter-personal skills, advanced communication and presenting capabilities

Effectively managing multiple initiatives simultaneously

Motivated, self-sufficient, and able to self-manage

Highly independent, performance-driven, and comfortable with working in a dynamic global environment to tight deadlines

Ability to manage senior rights holder relationships
