Regional Partnerships Manager
Reporting to the Regional Head of Partnerships, the successful candidate will be responsible for growing and maximising the regions sponsorship and commercial partners’ sales, through excellent delivery and activation across the region. This role will lead on recruiting new and retaining current sponsors and partners, whilst managing and developing the regions Partnership Business Development Executive.
Key responsibilities within this role will be:
to lead the search and recruitment of new sponsors/partners and the retention of current ones via a focused, results-driven sales plan
to create and implement sales tools and processes to improve sponsorship sales across the region
to account manage the Region’s key sponsors and act as their first point of contact
to enhance and build the new relationships whilst managing the ongoing relationship with existing sponsors and official partners
to ensure the requirements of our sponsors and partners are successfully delivered and our customers’ needs are met, whilst ensuring the highest level of customer service
to work with the Communications team and assist with arranging and co-ordinating press conferences, and other public relations duties as required
Other skills and experience required are, but are not limited to:
sports and events sector knowledge and understanding
proven experience of setting and working to budgets
proven experience within a senior sponsorship/partnership role
proven experience of formulating, presenting, negotiating and closing high value business to business partnership deals
experience of working with contracts and negotiation of commercial terms with legal support
proven record of strong negotiation & influencing skills
proven experience of working effectively and cohesively as part of a commercial team
excellent strategic and commercial acumen
Travel within the South West Region will be required so it is essential that the successful candidate holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
This role will also involve working evenings and weekends to support events as and when required.
