Senior C&E Sales Executive 12 Month FTC

MAIN DUTIES

To oversee Sales team when Sales Manager is out of the office, ensuring daily and weekly targets are maintained and motivation is kept to a maximum.

Be able to identify day to day shortfall within the team and be proactive to outline new initiatives to help reduce risk and present to Sales Manager.

To mentor Sales Executives, offering support and challenge on a day to day basis to ensure revenue is delivered.

To achieve sales targets and maximise sales revenue and profitability through all sales channels.

Ensure all enquires are followed up within 1 hour of receiving, by a phone call and followed by a written proposal within 3 hours.

To maintain accurate records on all prospect, tentative and confirmed business using the Salesforce/Delphi system

Working closely with all other departments within the business to include Sodexo in order to deliver high levels of service and profitable events.

Working as part of a team and supporting colleagues to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

In conjunction with all relevant partners ensure that the levels of Customer Service are market leading.

To maximise revenue and profit through the implementation of a sales activity plan by proactive selling (face to face meetings and personal contacts) through a sales platform and use of commercial management techniques (Salesforce, diary management, Linked In and other management tools).

Be fully responsible for the conversion of incoming enquiries to confirmed bookings.

To ensure all leads are contacted within 24 hours with an overall 80% conversion.

To research and identify new market and account opportunities.

Assist in preparing sales collateral and presentation materials including proposals.

To be aware of competitor pricing, understand the dynamics of the local market and the demand generators, and the effect this has on profit.

In conjunction with all relevant partners ensure that the levels of Customer Service are market leading.

To help maximise team revenue and profit through effective reactive, face to face show rounds and Account Management / Development of existing clients through a sales platform and use of commercial management techniques (Salesforce, Delphi diary management, Linked In and other management tools).

To assist the Senior Sales Manager for bottom up budget development as part of annual budgeting process for all existing clients and new business.

Aided by Head of Sales and Senior Sales C & E Executive assist in the planning, recruitment, direction, organisation and control of Sales Executive(s) to accomplish specific objectives.

Asist in monitoring the performance of the Conference & Events sales executives by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports (actual v’s target, KPIs monitoring), sales meetings and 1:1 monthly performance reviews.

Provide high standards of on-going training so that each member of the Conference & Events team possesses sufficient knowledge to present information on the company’s products in an accurate and balanced manner.

To identify opportunities with clients.

 

FRAMEWORK & BOUNDARIES

Agrees objectives and responsibilities with the Sales Manager & Head of Sales.  Uses initiative when responding to enquiries, conducting research, preparing proposals and following up sales leads.

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years’ experience and has experience in mentoring / coaching individuals. Can demonstrate success in a sales environment preferably within sport.  Understanding and experience of cold calling and selling to both corporate and private individuals.  Competence with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a Customer Relations Management system.
