Sport Events Communications Manager
Develop and implement communications activity
Raise awareness and leverage of national sports, eSports events and international series
Leverage grassroots sport programmes and relationships.
Production and distribution of editorial content including photography and moving images (for web and TV).
Particular ownership on always-on communications strategy within Gaming, to support existing event calendar but to also maximise output through proactive opportunities.
Event campaign development
Setting campaign objectives, selecting media channels and defining time lined activity.
Defining story angles and media partners and selling-in to media.
Managing press office on-site.
Create engaging content and stories for placement in external media and our owned channels
Ensure all media coverage is captured and evaluated to guide future priorities.
Management of agency roster to deliver assets, event management and media coverage in support of events.
Proven experience in communications or PR (agency or in-house) within sport.
Experience of managing communications campaigns for sporting events.
Experience of working with high profile athletes.
Experience of news distribution across print, web, broadcast and social.
Experience of creating video content/TV programming and defining distribution strategies.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Highly active and personally interested in the sports industry
Interest and knowledge of emerging media opportunities e.g. digital/social media.
Solid sports media contacts.
Creative, organised, driven and results orientated.
Ability to influence and advise wider team.
Adaptable and flexible to change at short notice.
Strong affinity with the brand.
