Head of Hospitality – Catering
Responsible for legendary service delivery and guest liaison across the department, directing all key areas of operational events delivery and product quality and for ensuring the achievement of optimum profitability. This role will be the showman of the team, with a flair for customer service and innovative entrepreneurial skills, not only will the delivery be world class but also needs to be a competent business manager. The key is in the detail.
Key Focus Areas:
This role is critical to achieving seemingly effortless and quality focused customer experience across multiple and layered hospitality offerings, spread around a vast stadium complex.
High quality and effective liaison and planning with sales teams, client and potential guests to develop, confirm and deliver guest requirements.
Liaison with Exec Chef to deliver menu and standards for each different offer and plan logistics and equipment requirements accordingly.
Leadership of large team of fixed and casual staff to include effective direction, inspiration appointment, engagement, communication, development and motivation.
Consistent focus on delivery of training at all levels across the Department.
Own and manage Dept. budget including; labour costs and forecasting, in close liaison with Staffing Team re scheduling and deployment of talent, secure financial control and cash handling procedures and effective purchasing and stock handling controls.
Facilitation of day to day client relations and operations, ensuring that we are meeting and ideally exceeding expectations
Lead direct reports to ensure consistent operational delivery standards.
Review Dept. performance and ensure delivery of departmental financial targets
Maintain legal and H&S compliance and lead a health & safety culture across the Dept.
Experience of working at a senior level in hospitality, managing a large volume operation with turnover in excess of £5m
Min 5 years Line Management experience essential
Thorough understanding of food and beverage market trends and competitor activity - UK essential and internationally would be an advantage
Evident passion for service delivery – is dynamic and naturally inspires and leads others to perform at a consistently high level.
Exceptional level of attention to detail
Strong written and spoken English and excellent organisational skills. Consummate at handling guest and client relations – responding to feedback graciously and applying lessons learned as applicable.
